I have been a public servant and a champion for children and their families throughout my entire adult life. I have advocated on behalf of Syracuse residents for improved housing, better educational experiences, economic vitality, and access to more resources. I have served as an afterschool program director for Catholic Charities at the Northeast Community Center, a Substitute Teacher in the Syracuse City School District, a Hillside Youth Advocate at Grant Middle School, a tutor for Syracuse University’s Early College High School Program at Nottingham High School, a football coach at Corcoran High School and ITC High School, a Promise Zone Student Engagement Specialist at Dr. Weeks Elementary School, a Promise Zone Program Supervisor and Manager and a board member for the Southside Community Coalition. Furthermore, I have coordinated fundraising and community service events to address the needs of Syracuse residents.
